Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University will be introducing two new courses. The first is a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Investment and Portfolio Management (PGDIPM) from the Department of Management Sciences. The course will admit 30 students and require a minimum of a graduation degree from a recognized university. The admission criteria will be based on academic qualifications, with special provisions for Divyang students. The curriculum will cover finance, investments and portfolio management. On completion, candidates will receive a one-year postgraduate diploma. Applications can be made through the university’s website at https://dsmnru.ac.in/. The course is for those aspiring to build a career in the finance industry.
Dr Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University has also launched a three-month certificate course focusing on the motor insurance sector, the first of its kind in Uttar Pradesh. No prior experience is required for this course. Passing 12th standard (or equivalent) from a recognized board or university is the minimum qualification. Entry eligibility will depend on academic qualification and university weightage. This course offers a pathway to a career in motor insurance sector with a potential future income of lakhs of rupees.
University spokesperson Yashwant Virodai said that students will be given a certificate on completion of the course. To apply, one can visit the university’s website at https://dsmnru.ac.in/. Admission will be on a merit-based basis and special preference will be given to students with physical disabilities, Virodai said. The six-module programme covers a number of topics including the history of insurance, legal and regulatory framework, different types of motor insurance policies, claims procedures, etc. He said the course is open to anyone, from fresh graduates to aspiring experienced professionals.
Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University was established by an Ordinance dated 29th August 2008, under the Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Vibhag, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
